Andrew Quattrone allegedly sent sexual images and messages to teenager in Wantagh

MINEOLA, N.Y. – Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly announced that a Manorville man was arraigned today on charges he allegedly sent sexually graphic text messages, including a graphic sexual image, to a teenager in Wantagh in January 2022.

Andrew Quattrone, 39, of Manorville, was arraigned before Judge Christopher Hoefenkrieg on charges including Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the First Degree (a D felony) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (an A misdemeanor). The defendant pleaded not guilty and bail was continued as pretrial services agency. The defendant is being held in Suffolk County on another matter at $1 million bond and $500,000 cash. If convicted on the top charge, the defendant faces up to 3-1/2 to 7 years in prison. Quattrone is due back in court on July 18, 2022.

“The sixteen-year-old victim answered a text message notification to her cell phone and was confronted with a sexually graphic image allegedly sent by the defendant, along with lines of sexually charged and obscene text messages,” said DA Donnelly. “Quattrone allegedly attempted to meet the victim as well but was scared off when she appeared with friends. NCDA is committed to protecting our children from cyber predators and continuing our efforts to educate families in Nassau County on how to stay safe in a technologically-driven world.”

DA Donnelly said, according to the indictment and investigation, on January 20, 2022, at approximately 11:48 p.m. a 16-year-old female from Wantagh allegedly received a text message from the defendant to her cell phone with a graphic sexual image. Quattrone allegedly continued to send sexually explicit messages to the victim and agreed to meet with her the following day, January 21, 2022.

Quattrone allegedly met with the victim that evening and asked her to get into his vehicle. The victim approached Quattrone’s vehicle with two friends and the defendant allegedly fled the scene.

Quattrone was arrested in Bayshore by members of the NCPD 8th Squad on January 22, 2022.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Melissa Scannell, Unit Chief of the Pharmaceutical Diversion & Cybercrimes Unit. The defendant is represented by Toni Marie Angeli, Esq.

The charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless found guilty.
